Dolciani pre-A: Do you work out the answers for the even #'s since they only give them for odd

Can I get the answer key somewhere? I was excited to get the 1988 text so inexpensively on amazon used, but not having answers is a bummer!

There is a solution key, at least for the Dolciani Pre-Algebra: An Accelerated Course. It's better than the answers in the back of the book bec. it actual shows how to work out the answer; it doesn't just give the final answer.

 

Don't see any for a good price online at the moment, but maybe if you keep checking? I lucked into copy for $2 at a library used book sale.

I suppose it depends on your student, but most of the time, I don't think you'd need to assign the evens. There are plenty of problems.

:iagree: We are actually using Lial now (started with Dolciani) but I only assigned/assign odds. There are more than enough problems (in either book) for my 11 year old that sometimes I don't even assign all the odds.

Since it's a school text, you are only suppose to work 1/2 the problems. The others are for review/another day/teaching purposes.

 

We did it with just the odds. I did have to work out the tests problems, though, which was a bummer, but doable.

I can't imagine assigning every problem in that text. Just do the odds. It's not Saxon. :)
