Tenaj
We're buying a new laptop computer for me and I have it narrowed down to two computers. For those who have experience with Windows 8, would you spend an extra $100 to get the touch screen? I use the computer for internet surfing, spreadsheet work (church financial records), word-processing and HSTracker Online. I'm just not sure if it's worth it to invest in the extra $100 when I'm not sure how much I would actually use the touch screen? Any advice? GWOB
We recently purchased a new Windows 8 laptop. I had been using my iPad for most of my internet browsing. When my dd12 got a Mac, I keep trying to touch the screen to move things. I thought I would prefer a touchscreen laptop, but like you, I had a hard time justifying the extra $ for something so new. We ended up getting this one (not at that price!) and we love it. I really haven't had a problem navigating without a touchscreen.
Lucy the Valiant
I can't STAND my Windows 8 (no touch screen) and am just about at the point where I would spend $100 to go BACK to Windows 7. Seriously, it's the WORST OS I have ever used.
nmoira
The only people I know who can tolerate Windows 8 have touch screens.
