mommyto4QT
My daughter turns 2 this summer. This fall, I would like to find activities that would occupy her while I do school with my older kids. She is a BUSY toddler and loves to tear up books, run around dumping out toys, etc. I thought about purchasing the Toddler preschool pack from MFW. Does anyone else own it? Would like to hear the pros/cons, along with how it captures your child's attention.
lea_lpz
I have the 3-5 package. I really live it but can't give you feed back on the toddler package. Based on the package it seems like when you are ready to move on to the preschool package you could integrate these toys into your routine and use the index cards on some them. They look fun for a toddler. We love the Wee Sing cd. We bought that else where but see it's in the package.
Mom2TheTeam
I have both the toddler and pre-K packages. :) I don't do a lot of the activities for the toys, however, we only bring them out at school time and my children really do love playing with the Lauri toys. My children range in age from 7 down to 6 months. Everyone except the 6 month old enjoys them. Sometimes I do give them specific activities to do, but usually I just let them explore and do their own thing with me randomly saying something like, "Can you put all the reds in a pile..." Anyway, all that to say, we enjoy them here at our house. I've even gotten things from Lauri directly because we like the Lauri toys so much, which we learned from getting the package from MFW. Lisa in the UP of MI
The toddler pack has been a hit here, both the activities and the songs.
alanabrown15
Mostly all the small kids like to tear up books, break the things, beat his/her siblings. In my advice wait for 1 year and when she will be 3 years of old then send her to the toddler center.
DhanyaCali
No, it looks great huh? We have the wedgits already, my oldest likes them at that age and my son turns 2 this fall. I think this summer they are coming out with more stuff to add onto the toy package, some books and an activity guide. So I have my eye on this too :) Edit: we have the Lauri toys as well! ALB
I don't have the whole package but do have the wedgits and Lauri products. My kids have all LOVED them and I really appreciate the quality of the Lauri toys. They will even replace lost pieces for you if you need them to. I think the activity cards look like lots of fun and have considered getting them for my toddler soon. I'm not sure how the new preschool curriculum will affect the older toddler set? Seems like it might all be different now?
