pjssully
I am looking for an easy introduction Latin course for 6th graders. I have had no latin experience so it has to have easy to follow directions. I not overly concerned about the cost-not that I want to spend tons of money-but that is not the most important thing. I plan on doing Latin for 6 and 7 grade years, and then maybe switch to a French or Spanish (and maybe do both Latin and another language) so it should have enough material for 2 years or a follow up book after the intro. book. Any suggestions? Thanks pam
wapiti
Easy intro to Latin? With real grammar and translation? Look no further than GSWL. For 6th graders, it would be hard to make it last longer than a semester. The bigger question would be what to use afterward (we used Henle but there are other options). clemota
I second GSWL - wonderful, inexpensive, easy. For an intro you can't beat it. Check out the other discussion about it for more info.
ElizabethB
I like Latin Alive, the DVDs make it easy to use.
Penguin
I made in similar thread for a 7th grader. I just received GSWL and I can't wait to get started!
