I got this same answer, using the same order if operation. Were you getting a 0 inside the parentheses, instead of a 2? The temptation is to treat subtraction as if it could be done in any order, but order does count with both subtraction & division. Hence, inside the parentheses work the operations in left-to-right order.

Now, if the answer key has a different answer than 76 you should notify the publisher of the error. If they insist theirs is correct ask them to show and explain how they got their answer. And (good-naturedly) ask if you could get some small gimme for helping identify an error!

You can do the addition in the parenthesis first if you realize that it's -5+1 not 5+1. The expression in the parenthesis then simplifies from (6-5+1) to (6-4), which is also 2. It's easier to just do it left to right, though.
