Dmmetler
DD has been using Key to Algebra as the workbook/extra practice component with LoF Pre-Algebra and it's worked quite well. She doesn't do well with copying a lot of problems, so Fred has been about enough of that, but still needs more practice on at least some concepts than Fred offers. Does anyone know of a similar workbook that would go farther than Key to Algebra?
Crimson Wife
I've got a copy of Algebra 1 Workbook for Dummies borrowed from the library right now. Each of the problems has a box with space to work out the answer. I've decided that it is not what I am looking for but it does strike me as being similar to the Key to Algebra books. SilverMoon
Horizons prealgebra has a workbook. Lial's prealgebra is a worktext that could be written in, and it's very inexpensive on the used market. The Algebra Survival Guide has a workbook, too. Momling
We've had good success with Algebra Survival Guide and Workbook. I don't know that it's more in depth than Keys to, but it is faster paced yet still very incremental.
Momling
Also -- Math Mammoth has pre-algebra and algebra 1 worksheets. The problems are not explained, but they are great practice.
