SWB's advice when frustrated worked!

Get a drink of water.

Eat a sandwich. (this was the one necessary today)

Take a shower.

Take a nap.


After the sandwich my child believed that I knew how to subtract two digit numbers. [sigh]


I worked with a marvelous long-time kindergarten teacher whose universal answer to frustration, tears, anger, and sleepiness was to send the little one to the drinking fountain to get some water. Worked like a charm about 90% of the time.
