NancyNellen
Hi everyone~ I am planning on doing The Early Middle Ages and The Late Middle Ages courses with my 6th grade son next year. Would it be really helpful and beneficial for us to have the transcripts? At $50 for both, I'd like to avoid the expense if they aren't really crucial. Thanks for your input! brehon
I haven't ordered those particular courses, yet :D, but have ordered either transcripts or course guides for other history/philosophy courses. I don't think they're necessary, especially if your ds takes good notes. They could be helpful, though, especially if your ds needs to relisten to a particular section. Chris in VA
The TC dvd's I get at the library come with a little booklet that contains a sentence outline of the lectures. I find it's all we really need.
SkateLeft
I bought the transcript books for the Dark Matter course, and we hardly looked at them. So I haven't bothered buying the transcript books for the subsequent courses. The course outlines that come with the courses are pretty thorough. NancyNellen
Thanks for helping me save $50! My son is a decent note-taker, so I'll probably go ahead without the transcripts. I can always order them later if needed, right? Thanks for the quick responses!
