stephanino
First off, I am so sorry if this question has been asked before. I am having trouble searching these forums. I haven't been on here in awhile! My dd is in 6th grade this year and doing Saxon 7/6. I assumed that next year she would go to 8/7, but I have heard others talk about Algebra 1/2. What is the recommended route for the next few years? Thanks in advance!
bethben
Go here scroll down to April 2012. That should answer your question. Beth
Brenda in FL
Either one. The official Saxon answer is 87. We chose 87 because I wanted another year of fact drill and mental math. 87 is a challenging text. My ds went into Alg 1 from 87 and is doing quite well. freeindeed
We are going to use 8/7 for seventhr grade. Then I plan to go to Alebra 1.

KarenNC
We've done Alg 1/2 and it's gone well overall. We are hitting a bit of a wall around lesson 101, so I've given her a couple of weeks off to work with Khan Academy to allow some time for things to percolate a bit. I find that's been her pattern when she hits a growth spurt. We come back to it in a few days and something has clicked.
