BeckyFL
I have one internet source that says ages 10-14 and amazon says ages 4-8. Has anyone read this? Which would you agree with? Did you like it? Thanks!
Stacy in NJ
My 5th grader read it this past year. I'd say it's fine for a strong reading 3rd grader through 6th grade, so ages 8 to 12. We did enjoy this. I'd recommend it.
Rhondabee
I think it's definitely too vivid for 4-6 years old. But, I do have sensitive kids. hth, Rhonda
Hoggirl
I didn't read it, so I can't comment.
sadiegirl
We read this as a read-a-loud and we all enjoyed it. I think that we read it when they were 4th and 5th graders. We are a bunch of sensitive readers as well and I think there were a couple of times that were sad but I know from talking with the boys that the books that they remember and love are the ones that stir their emotions...it had action too. Hoggirl
I think Amazon sometimes goofs up ages and grades. I bet it is supposed to be grades 4 - 8, not ages 4 - 8.
