Chris in VA
So the recipe calls for pecans, brown sugar, cinnamon, and dried (soaked til soft) cranberries--mix, throw on top of 8oz wheel o' brie, wrap in puff pastry, bake. Is it ok if I don't have the pecans?
Mrs Mungo
Yes, I never use nuts on my baked Brie. I like it best with jalapeño jelly or homemade cranberry sauce.
hillfarm
Sure. I have also had it with slivered almonds. I think all the nuts are for is to give it a bit of crunch. If you are serving it with crackers or crunchy vegetables, I'm sure it will be fine.
Chris in VA
Whew! Thanks--I get a little nervous when trying things for the first time. Happy New Year, everyone!!
NotSoObvious
All I do is preserves and the puff pastry and it's delicious! So I'm sure anything above and beyond that will be great!
