momtolgd Posted December 13, 2012 Share Posted December 13, 2012 We are going to give our 6yo my old Kindle Fire for Christmas. So to replace it, now I have to decide if I want the new Kindle Fire HD 7 inch, or a 4th Generation Ipod Touch. (10yo is getting a 16gb one for Christmas.) I am having a hard time deciding which I want. Which would you choose and why? DH thinks I should go for the bigger screen. Does anyone already have the KF HD? What do you think of it? I like that it has twice the storage space of my original Kindle Fire...and that it can use skype. I also like the easy portability of the Ipod though. Hmmmm, what to do?? Dmmetler Posted December 13, 2012 Share Posted December 13, 2012 If you're going to read on it, go with the Kindle-reading e-books on an iPod works, but it's a painfully small screen, so you're either getting a short paragraph per page, or you're getting really small print. If you're going to mostly listen to music and play games while waiting, get the iPod because of portability (and maybe battery life).
