*********
Every year, dh's office has a big holiday party where everyone brings food. The last two years I've made cake pops, and (not to toot my own horn or anything, lol) there's no way I can top the cute ones I made last year. :p So I need a new idea. Anyone have any cute holiday treat ideas?
starwarsmomma
UUGH-- I sweat over this every year. Hubby's office party was today. I sent him with a homemade pomegranite cheesecake. It cooks up better than Cheesecake factory, and seems to impress the bosses. I'm not feeling very domestic lately. so that's the best I can do... thescrappyhomeschooler
Does it have to be sweet? Have you ever made a Santa bread? I've made a couple in the past, and they are easy and cute and very well received. You can use frozen bread dough if you don't want to make your own. If you don't want to do Santa, you can make a tree, candy cane, bell, etc. Just color the egg washes differently. I serve them with herbed butter or honey butter that I mold with cookie cutters. Annie
I kind of lucked out this year I suppose. I baked a batch of lemon ricotta cookies (my favorite) last week, and when DH came home he said, "oh good, I'm supposed to bring treats for Christmas in tomorrow!" Sigh. So he packed them up and took those. He said people liked the lemon in the sea of chocolate.
