Halcyon
My boys have asked for this for xmas. But do i need to buy TWO giftcards at walmart(i want them to be stocking stuffers, so...) or can i buy one and they have two accounts? We have two computers, one mac and one pc, if that matters. Thank you! Hope to finish my xmas shopping by is weekend, so i would love an answer.
dbmamaz
if you want them to be able to play together, you need to buy two - they cant really have two different accounts on one game, afaik. my three kids each have had to buy it separately . Halcyon
Thank you! Whew! That will be quite the stocking stuffer!
wapiti
FWIW, we have one account. They use different servers. They play on two different computers at the same time (or sometimes three different computers). That's all I know! I'm just glad they're now spending some of their computer time with Scratch - much better for them.
Spy Car
Beware Mindcrack. I'm glad I followed my gut on this one and disallowed it, as I'm seeming way too many kids pulled into an unhealthful screen obsession. Pull the plug and send them out to play with real people. TheReader
They can play at the same time on separate computers with one account, but will each be playing solo; if you want them to be able to play 2-player (ie, interact with each other while playing) they have to each have their own account. It is addicting, as Bill said, so set clear limits from the start. It's manageable as long as you have/set limits.
Halcyon
Oh trust me, my boys have pocket edition and i know how addicting it is, esp for ounger. That said, we set a limit on all screen time (2hours max, only on weekends) and pretty much stick to it. Minecrack is a very good name for it.
