You can set it to not be searchable on search engines, or you can take it a step further and make it so only people with a pass word can access it, or only people who have been invited. Mine is open to all, I like meeting the random people who stop by and leave comments. I don't list where I live anywhere, just the general area- and I made up names for my kids and dh. There is an informative blog called blogging basics 101, written by a couple of mom-bloggers, they discuss this and other issues-it's a helpful place. I don't know or haven't spent the time to figure out how to make it beautiful like many have that hang out here.
