Trish
Sure I know women who were affected by the DES drug their mothers took that was thought to be safe for pregnancy at the time. :grouphug:
stripe
I have a friend whose mother had horrible morning sickness. There was a drug at the time considered safe for that. Daughter (my friend) has a T shaped uterus and had 3 or 4 miscarriages. At least 2 of those were so bad she needed blood transfusions because she hemorrhaged so badly. You can say it's not the drug her mom took, but I still wonder. There are several health problems in women that WERE shown to be caused by the mother's medication. http://www.cancer.org/cancer/cancercauses/othercarcinogens/medicaltreatments/des-exposure http://www.birthdefects.org/research/bendectin_1.php There is even a novel about a woman seeking revenge on the doctor who gave her a medicine while pregnant as part of a study The Revenge of the Radioactive Lady by Elizabeth Stuckey-French
