Alicia64
Usually when kids are seniors in high school or a big game is about to happen, I see car windows painted that say, "We're #1!" or something like that. I'd love to paint dh's car windows for his birthday today, but I don't know where to get this type of paint. :) Any ideas? TIA!! Renthead Mommy
We used to use bingo dotter paint. I have seen it in the dollar store as well as Staples.
Michelle My Bell
I thought you just used regular paint mixed with soap. Google it and see.
Saraswati
Crayons sells markers and crayons made special to write on glass - then they wipe off clean with a wet rag. You can find them anywhere - Walmart, Target, Hobby Lobby, etc. I buy then for my littles to color on the sliding door at my house - and we've used them a couple times to decorate the car when my husband returns from deployments. Plink
We use chalk pens like these. You can find them at any craft supply store.

Thanks! Walmart is an easy stop for me -- where in Walmart do you find these? Thanks again, Alley
Alicia64
Sorry - I meant *Crayola. http://www.walmart.com/ip/Crayola-Washable-Markers-Tropical-Colors-8pk/14916621 Is this specifically what works on windows? I don't want to trash his car. He won't be too happy. :001_smile: Alley

fhjmom
Back in high school, we used to use shoe polish in those bottles with a sponge tip applicator. Just be sure not to get any on the paint or it will mess it up. Now they make glass "spirit" markers that look essentially like colored shoe polish. You can buy individual colors in single packages. I have seen them but never purchased them myself.

Saraswati
No, not window markers - like the link someone posted. These are called "window markers" and it'll say on the box "for use on glass" you'll find them in the Crayola isle - generally close to the office supply area in any Walmart. Washable markers just won't write on glass - so don't get those.
Saraswati
Grrrr - stinking phone! I can't type on this thing! I meant not washable markers :) Here is a link: http://www.crayolastore.com/product/11896 They also have crayons now - the markers wash off easier.
