plain jane
I feel ridiculous but I'm drawing a complete blank on this. There's a model for making decisions where you list out the pros and cons for each side and decide from there. There is a name for this but I can't think of it. I want to say Thomas Edison decision making but that's not correct. I know it doesn't need to be called something, but I have a very specific reason for needing to know what the name for this method of making decisions is. Can you help me out? ETA: Or perhaps this method isn't actually called by this name but there is a famous American who used it to make decisions. I need to come up with his name. :willy_nilly: Edited September 21, 2012 by plain jane

Ferdie
Seriously, my Dad always called it a Pro and Con Sheet. He used it all the time for major decisions.

Yeah, that's probably all it is called. :) I had someone refer to it because it was supposedly used extensively by some famous guy :tongue_smilie: and I want to know his name!!

KathyBC
I've also heard it called a decision tree, I think. ? Pam SFOS Mom (is that right? Alphabet Pam?) had a decision matrix, but I can't find it.
