PeacefulChaos
Is there a place I can find out about books the way there are sites about movies? So far I've been reading good stuff to the kids - what I'm wondering most about is what the right ages are for things. I would hate to miss out on something great because I didn't know the boys were ready for it yet or something. (And this includes read-alouds, too)
Ellie
You skim the book and see if you think your dc would enjoy it. If so, read it; if not, don't. :D
Forget-Me-Not
Check out the tags section and look for things like "literature recommendations" for threads here. If you use any of the Writing With Ease curricula, SWB uses selections from a wide range of age-appropriate lit. The Read-Aloud Handbook by Jim Trelease is another good resource for literature lists. He's got them organized by age, by subject matter, etc.
