Soror
DD5 LOVES to color and is getting to where she wants more and more detail (you know not the cheap dollar store coloring books that everyone seems to buy her when I say she likes to color). Last year we did the Flower Fairies Alphabet Coloring Book and she absolutely loved it, do you have any similiar ones you could recommend? I often color with her (she begs me to and I quite enjoy it!) so I don't want them to buy uber boring either!
KristenR
Dover coloring books offer a wide array of subjects. And they are pretty darn cheap. Same with Spirizzi.
Soror
Do you have any specific titles to rec ? They have so many I was hoping perhaps someone had used some similar to the Flower Fairies we used last year(in difficulty and style). Down_the_Rabbit_Hole
I second Dover coloring books. My dd loves them since she can use markers with it. There are several fairy color books as well as fairy kits. We have the Fairy Alphabet book. http://store.doverpublications.com/0486290247.html If you scroll down you will find other fairy books. KristenR
The only ones we have used were all dinosaur, animal, and bird based because that's where my dd's interest took us. We love them though. Aside from the coloring pages they give you a informational sheet next to each page so you can really learn a lot.
EmmaNadine
http://www.etsy.com/shop/hannahlynnart?section_id=7292575 This is a local artist and her work is beautiful. Her coloring books are a lot of fun.
Paige
My DD (5) got this fairy coloring book along with some glitter crayons last year and she loved it. My girls also really like the Dover stained glass coloring books. They've had unicorns, fairies, ponies, mermaids, and princesses and liked them all. ShannonS
Another Dover supporter here. Amazon carries them. Also, Google 'free mandalas to color' and you will find plenty of free, beautiful geometric designs to download and print.
jujsky
Another vote for Dover. We've used their bird coloring book, one on Australian animals, and a couple others I can't remember off the top of my head.
Soror
Thanks all- I just ordered the Fairyland book Paige recommended and also a Butterfly coloring book by Dover. Dd is super excited (and I might be as well !).
