The only way I know of differentiating your thread title is to use an icon which shows up on the left of the title, though I am not sure that makes much of a difference. When you post the thread, YOU have already read it, so it won't look bold to you, but to everyone else, it is bold until after they read it. So now that we have posted here, yours will look "bold" to you until you read it, then it won't again until someone posts something else here you haven't read. It is the issue of it not being bold to me because I have read it but it did show up bold when I hadn't. So verdict it is automatically bold.
