caedmyn
Is there enough repetition with Saxon's facts drills for most kids to memorize their math facts? DD will start Saxon 1 in school this year. She's already done Miquon red & orange books at home and we've been doing Calculadder math drills also. I'm trying to decide whether I should stop the Calculadder drills for the school year since she'll be doing Saxon's drills twice a day (at school and then for homework), or whether she should keep doing them. BakersDozen
I only use Saxon through level 3 and the math facts are one of the best things about those levels, imo. We've not needed to supplement with anything else so far (although I do try to make the drills fun...for example my 4yo placed # tiles on the page rather than writing her answers or she will write her answers in sand - anything to liven up fact drills!).
