Pajama Mama Posted July 2, 2008 Share Posted July 2, 2008 I have some shelf stable milk in cartons from Angel Food. I've used them in the past when I ran out of milk. But I've kept a few of them for emergencies. So I have 3 cartons of milk past their dates- I think they say Jan or Feb of this year. Can I still use them? I obviously wouldn't use milk from the fridge past the dates but I didn't know how shelf stable milk works. None of them have been opened. Anyone? Stacia Posted July 2, 2008 Share Posted July 2, 2008 Personally, I'd probably use it. If you open it & it tastes or smells funny, I'd toss, but otherwise, I'd assume it's still ok.
