Are College entrance essays and scholarship essays handwritten? Let's see why we're at it what about essays on college exams, are they still hand written? Many thanks. regentrude Posted June 2, 2012 Share Posted June 2, 2012 The SAT and ACT and AP essays are handwritten - student will not have computers during the tests. In contrast to the standardized testing, the scholarship and college essays are prepared by the student at their leisure and are normally typed. Essays in college during in class exams are handwritten, too - there are no printers in the lecture halls. Homework essays are typed. dirty ethel rackham Posted June 2, 2012 Share Posted June 2, 2012 My son said that all of the AP exams he has taken have hand written sections (Free Response Questions.) The SAT has an essay section that is hand written. Our only SAT II test was Chemistry and that was all bubbled in. As far as college entrance essays and scholarship essays, our experience has been that they expect them typed and sent electronically.
