Pamela H in Texas
Some of you may remember that last September my daughter was hospitalized due to kidney issues. She went into remission easily enough and her liver and heart recovered well also. Well, it's been a week now of spilling protein (in urine). Doc's nurse wants us to make an appointment but they think it's low enough right now to not necessitate a 24 hour collection, medication, hospital visit. Of course, we're to come in immediately if it gets any worse. I'm already dealing with my own anxiety, sleep, and depression issues as well as some fairly significant financial stress (I wish there was some sort of relief for middle class families who have had multiple crises...just something to let us get current so we could gain our footing!)....and I really didn't need another thing to worry about. I'm hoping that whining about it here, I can get a few "it'll work out"s and get it off my chest enough to relax a little.

Jean in Newcastle
Praying for you. I'm glad that she is being monitored. Is there anything you can do dietarily to help her? (I know that kidney patients usually have special diets).

Pamela H in Texas
Jean, low sodium is the only thing they told us. I doubt we're all THAT low lately though. We need to pay better attention to that too. We're probably not too bad off though. Maybe I'll stick a couple days in fitday just to make sure. Cathy in IL
Sometimes it seems like it is just one thing after the other doesn't it? I know it gets stressful and tiring. I hope the tests are good, and that no further testing or intervention is needed. Keep pressing on and it will look brighter one of the days - hopefully soon!
