Wii - one more thread! Exactly what do I need?

Recommended Posts

The consoles are $99 used at Gamestop.

Should I buy a new one after looking for a deal?

One more nunchuk and one more wii mote?

Balance board for me (I have MS)

a game for balance - Wii fit?

A few used Star Wars and Lego games for special needs son

Wii sports?

This is for my special needs son 8th grade graduation. We aren't a video game family, but he loves his laptop. He needs something fun to enjoy in his room. Thanks for help.

Just asked DH and DS12 about your post. They say $99 to high for used. If you search on amazon should be able to get one for $65.

My son said WII fit plus is better if it comes with the board. That just the fit can be bought for $2.

If you see the game Chicken Shoot anyplace used we really like it. Its quite funny even if you do shoot cartoon chickens. Our game was used.

Hope he enjoys his present:001_smile:

You want as many wimotes as there will be people playing. If he might occasionally have one extra person, you will only need 2 of them. You'll need the nunchuks for them because some games require them.

I always buy from Game Stop. I want to keep them in business and they have an excellent return policy on their used items and guarantee all items work or exchange with no hassle. I don't buy much from Amazon because returning stuff is a hassle for me. But that is a personal preference thing.

I don't have any advice on the fitness stuff. We don't use it.

You also want a recharging unit for the Wiimotes. What we have -

Wii console

Wireless Internet access for the console

two Wiimotes

two Nun chucks

Wii Fit Plus (better than Wii Fit)

one balance board

Games my DD likes

Lego Harry Potter

Endless Ocean and the second one

Glee Karaoke (needs a microphone to go with it)

Wii Sports Resort

Wii Sports (came with the console)
