JudoMom
Is there something easy & crafty to use alongside VP's OT/Ancient Egypt? This would be for 5th, 3rd, & 1st. They're doing the online option--would the TM have crafts?
MeghanL
The TM have 1 or 2 crafts for each history event.
JudoMom
The TM have 1 or 2 crafts for each history event. Are they complicated, or can I be fairly hands off? Are they worth the time? If you've done them, do your kids like them?
SilverMoon
The TM usually has something fairly simple. I don't remember anything complicated, but it's been a few years. My kids who like crafts enjoyed them. History Pockets is another idea.
Karen in CO
 Crafts? Are you feeling okay? What kind of crafts are you looking for? paper, art, science, or just general? Homeschool in the Woods has an Old Testament set. Dani really like the Dover Egypt kit with lots of coloring books and stickers and a mummy kit. We also liked this craft book. This one might line up better with the VP OT, but I haven't used it. btw - I don't really do crafts with them anymore. I give them the books and let them choose a craft and do it themselves. lillehei
I don't know what VP is but we love Hands and Hearts History Kits. They are for very crafty kids. http://handsandhearts.com/handsandheartshistorykits.aspx

But next year I'll have the day with the younger three and they all love crafts. The older two strongly opposed crafts during school hours, because they wanted to get the work done. Since they've all been combined for history, we didn't do crafts. I think the younger three would love to have a craft for school to do on that day when the older boys are gone. But I want something I can just hand them and tell them to do, because crafts make me twitch. I'll look at your suggestions :D.
MeghanL
They are fairly easy to do. I'm not crafty at all & I have 2 boys & we all like them. This week we made flamingo headdresses out of posterboard & aluminum foil for the Early New Kingdom. I have to say, making tin foil hats in the middle of the day for our home school struck me as outstandingly hilarious :)
pitterpatter
There's this one too. Check your library for it.
