Crissy
plays for the championship in two hours (5:30 PT). It is a double elimination tournament and our Red Sox have won all of their tournament games while their opponent has already lost one. If our team loses tonight they will have one more opportunity to win it all. Still, they sure would love to be called League Champions before they go to bed tonight. Your good wishes would mean a great deal to us.

Crissy
Our team lost 16-15 on Wednesday evening, but what a game! In the end everyone won. The coaches and umpires decided before the game to reduce the tournament to single elimination in the interest of finishing before many of the kids left for vacation the following day. Since the opposing team had already lost to our Red Sox, we ended the season as co-champions. Everyone left the field happy, and we had a great celebration to wrap up the season on Thursday night. We now return to our regularly scheduled dinner times. No more cleaning the kitchen at 9:30pm! Yay!!

Only me
I hope they do well. My son's team just got eliminated yesterday. It was a tough game and they had to play 1/2 inning in the pouring rain. Unfortunately a lot of balls got dropped during that inning and the pitcher (usually strikes kids out) had trouble holding onto the ball. The sun came out the next half of the inning. They really tried hard and they all had a good attitude. We even came back to rally but it wasn't quite enough. They were playing against the only undefeated team in the league so our team was just hoping for the best. They left with their heads held up high and really had a lot of fun. We are having our end of season party next weekend. Even though it has been a long season because my dh was the head coach we are all really going to miss it next week when they aren't playing. Last year my son's team won the championship (different team) so it was a little bit of a let down after last year since their season ended two games earlier this year. Good luck to your son! I hope they win and have a lot of fun.
Only me
oops. I'm sorry. I just realized that I was too late in wishing the team luck. I'm sorry that they lost but that's great that they ended up co-champions. It sounds like they had fun.
