ThisIsTheDay
I'll be there in a few weeks with two teenagers, so the Crayola Factory is not going to work. Any other suggestions? I don't want to go anywhere past Clinton, and I'd prefer something either directly on the way or just a few miles out of the way if possible. We'll be visiting in PA, and since I was born in Clinton, I'm going to drag my kids out there to see the town. :D :auto:
justasque
Not sure if it's on the way exactly, but the Martin Guitar Factory in Nazereth gives an amazing factory tour. Very interesting in many ways; much of interest for teens. The tour is free, but you may be tempted to eventually buy a Martin.
ThisIsTheDay
That looks interesting, and it does not seem out of the way. We have never seen anything like that before either. Thank you! Anyone else care to chime in?
Carrie12345
The guitar factory is on our list! DaVinci Science Center and Lehigh Valley Zoo are two of our favorite spots.
Kathleen in LV
What about a trip to see the Amish culture? I lived in that area a couple of decades ago, and there was a good-sized Amish population when I lived there. And in school we would often go to places that demonstrated Amish culture. Unfortunately I have no idea how you could go about finding a place to visit, but maybe a little research (or someone else on this board) could turn up something. Another cool place I enjoyed when I was young was Roadside America. http://www.roadsideamericainc.com/ It's about a half hour west of Allentown.
