ReneTL
At lunch today we had a disaster involving a child, a dog and an entire bowl of taco soup. Now I need some recommendations on a cheap upholstery cleaner. I can take the cushion cover off and take it to the dry cleaner, but I'm afraid it won't fit after. Any suggestions? Thanks, Rene
Kebo
I don't know what your couch is made of, but I cannot count the number of times that I took off a couch cushion cover and washed it in the washing machine. Our couch is microfiber, and there was no shrinkage. I always air dried them. It is a bit of a challenge to get the covers back on, as they are meant to fit tightly, but once they are on they are fine. This was recommended to me at the dry cleaners when I took the covers in for them to clean.
Lara in Colo
I wash mine in the washer too. Once I even replaced the foam since I couldn't get the old foam to wash out the smell of something so I finally gave up. Wash on cold, gentle, use liquid soap (powder will sometimes cake and not dissolve) and air dry.

And, if you ahve a teen at home that does laundry, make she SHE knows to NOT put that stuff in the dryer, either. :glare:
