lisamarie
We did a Jesse Tree for the first time this Advent and it was really good for our family. I want to do something similar for Lent but am not having a lot of luck searching online. Wondering if anyone has a resource that would include daily scriptures and hopefully pictures to color that are like the Jesse Tree ornaments. Moxie
We did this last year. It took awhile to get all the bits and pieces together but it was worth it. http://catholicicing.com/2011/03/stations-of-cross-eggs-for-catholic/
MrsMommy
The Jesus Tree for Lent looks awesome! I just ordered one...I've been looking for something Advent-y for Lent (if that makes sense), for the last few years, but had never found anything that I thought would work for us before now. My children are going to love it!
happygrrl
We are doing 'Path to Pascha'. You can get the scripture readings and design ideas by joining the Festal Celebrations yahoo group (this is where we got the Jesse Tree readings). mytwomonkeys
for lent, we've enjoyed these activities in the past: lenten activity guide resurrection eggs (my kids still LOVE this. we do one egg a day as part of the last 12 days of lent) lenten journey countdown (we've never actually done this one but it inspired me to come up with our own countdown) each year we do a countdown with a crown of thorns (40 toothpicks) and take one out each day and we do an activity. there is a purple candle in the middle normally. at the end of the countdown, there are chocolate crosses and easter baskets in place of the crown of thorns. OrdinaryTime
We do the Holy Heroes Advent and Lenten Adventures every year. I love their programs because they email the links to me each day (or 3 times a week in Lent), which helps me remember to do it. My kids love it because it is other kids' teaching them in the videos. They have lots of free downloads to go with each day's lesson.
