lynn
or How do I know what level/grade to start dd in for first grade? she is reading rather fluently with some help needed for special sounds/blends. I am concerned on creating gaps in her ability to spell proficiently if I don't use a comprehensive phonics program like Abeka 2nd grade at least. TIA Edited February 6, 2012 by lynn

Jess4879
I like this one. It is quite lengthy, but they email you an evaluation at the end with areas to work on. You have to register, but it is free. http://www.test4free.com/ I also found this one, but haven't tried it yet. http://www.pearsonlongman.com/ae/marketing/sfesl/practicereading.html
daysaregifts
http://www.hoagiesgifted.org/reading_levels.htm Lots of great stuff here. Great gifted site. Many ways to test reading levels. The AR links are broken- that's another good way to see what level the books your child is reading are.
