Mergath
I was just reading today that SOPA has been indefinitely shelved. I would imagine the blackout is off, unless they really, really want to get their point across.
Mergath
And now I'm reading that the bill isn't shelved after all, and the blackout is still on. So basically, I have no idea. :tongue_smilie:
Murmer
I don't understand what they are protesting? Can someone explain what the bills are that they are against? I don't have time (or brain power right now) to google or try to figure out legalese.
rieshy
Here's one http://www.theverge.com/2011/12/22/2648219/stop-online-piracy-act-sopa-what-is-it It's not short. It's the unintended consequences of the writing of SOPA that could be so far reaching. Mt husband is in free lance production. Under Sopa he's worried his demo-reel could get his website shut down.
