teeniebeenie6
I am curious if anyone has combined KONOS and MFW? Would it work? My daughter is in K. Thanks,
Ellie
You know, that would be a truckload of work, and I'm not sure it would be worth it. Seems to me it would be better to use one or the other.
wehave8
You could do MFW for the phonics and math parts and KONOS for everything else, but I think I'd use something else for phonics and math if I did KONOS.

kristinannie
I haven't used KONOS yet, but I have it and have begun my planning. It can be as much or as little as you want. That said, there is a lot there that you probably wouldn't want to miss. If you want to do KONOS, I would just do KONOS. I haven't used MFW so I can't really speak to combining them. To me, K is mostly about learning the basics (reading, writing and math) and then starting to explore the world and gain a love of learning (done through unit studies and read alouds in our house). I would honestly just pick one of the programs. Maybe you could do MFW for K and then start KONOS in 1st.
teeniebeenie6
Thanks for all the input! I was hoping I could pick and choose activities in KONOS to go along with MFW and to beef up the curriculum a bit. It seems like they won't work in conjunction with one another. It looked so fun, so I was hoping.
