Hockey Mom
I have doodled with this for hours, and I am still hitting a brick wall. My boys are getting a swing set for Christmas. I want to wrap empty boxes with rhyming clues in each box that will ultimately lead them outside to the back yard. The last box they open will be a blindfold, and the clue should indicate that they should grab a parent to lead them to their final clue. Since I have two boys, ideally, I'd like to come up with 3 clues each. Help?
thescrappyhomeschooler
In the place mom washes the clothes you wear, You'll find clue number 2 hidden there. Reach under the couch and you will see something containing clue number 3. Go to the kitchen, look under the sink, and there you'll see clue 4, I think. Look under your beds, if you'll be so kind, Clue number 5 is what you'll find. Put on the blindfold and out you go, you'll find your present out in the snow. (If it's snowing where you are!) KatherineNaomi
http://www.riddleme.net/ Neat software for treasure/scavenger hunts. It's so easy to make them up now and the kids love it. :)

plansrme
Here are some I have used for birthdays: Veggie Tales and The General And Wii games galore. You’ll find your next clue In this special drawer. (In DVD drawer) Rub a dub dub And bubbles and fizz. Figure out where these are. That’s where your next clue is. (In tub) Lick it, stamp it. Seal it with a kiss. This clue is so easy, There’s no way to miss. (In mailbox) Eat your carrots, Moms like to say. A few more clues, And you’re on your way. (In veggie drawer) We study spelling and history, And math with good cheer. When [son's name's]learning these, His behind is parked here. (taped to the bottom of his chair in the school room) Speaking of [son's]behind, And what he keeps it in. Find where that is, And this hunt is almost at an end. (In son's pants drawer) I hope you’ve had fun. And it’s been a pleasure. Follow this final clue And you’ll find your treasure. Swim and gym, Baseball and ballet. This is where [son's]mom Spends half of her day. (this one was in my car) Another one I have used (it was on my golden retriever's fence) is: Some of you are blond; Someone else here is, too. Figure out who it is, And you'll find your next clue. Hope these give you some ideas. Terri
