Belacqua
Getting rid of "beautiful screaming lady" and "handsome pilot" was probably a good move. :)
Jennifer3141
Although there are days when, "beautiful screaming lady" fits my household.

Jennifer3141
Better than "cat in danger," I suppose! That fits here sometimes too!!! At least, the cats think they are in danger when DD dresses them up in AG clothing. Pioneer cat, anyone?
C_l_e_0..Q_c
That jumping gentleman in the fire scene seems to be using the trampoline for fun. Where is he jumping from anyway?

Violet Crown
We love our 1963 Word Book. We also love our German version, Mein allerschonstes Worterbuch. For dd15, raised on Richard Scarry, it was a great boost to her German vocabulary. The Germans seem to have no truck with beautiful screaming ladies or handsome pilots, but you can bet that der kleine Bar comes promptly to breakfast! "Er kommt sofort, wenn ur zum Fruhstuck gerufen wird." Interestingly, there is no soldier in the "Wenn du gross bist" section, nor is it replaced by a judge: there's just a blank space where the soldier had been. Jennifer3141
Pictures, please? You want that or a cat bath today? :D I love how children are not suppposed to come promptly anymore. Like 30 years later, all the parents in the world said, "Meh. He'll eat it when he gets here."
