Live2Ride
We love Artistic Pursuits. I also bought the 'Introduction to Art' by Usborne to go along with it. They love reading through it. As for spelling...we used Sequential Spelling and liked them, but have since stopped spelling books. If I see a misspelling, we just correct it then, writing the word a few times and I make a note of it, then I review them at the end of the week. I am fortunate though in that I have two natural spellers.

SnowWhite
We like Meet the Masters art, which has a special deal through homeschoolbuyersco-op.org until this weekend. I am using SpellWell for my younger ds and Dictation Day by Day (by Kate Wagenen, free on books.google.com) for my fifth grader.
Annie Anne
We love Artistic Pursuits. This worked great with my art un-=inclined boys.
Shannanlee
I will look up artistic pursuits and spelling power. My son hates coloring so I hope it will not be too painful.
