Trina in TX
interesting and fun to learn when you're older. Sometimes I think we learn everything at too young of an age. Before we have any life under our belt to really appreciate or understand what we're learning. I hope that keeping my brain active will help in old age too. Good luck in your learning endeavors, Trina
Brindee
We moved a lot when I was growing up, so my education was spotty! I have really enjoyed learning grammar with my kids this year! Although when I help my ds with his R&S grade 6 grammar, my eyes start glazing over! But I learned a lot this year, and am so excited! I need to work on my math skills as well! LisaNY
Anyone learning/relearning subjects so that you can teach more effectively to your kiddos? I need to brush up on my algebra! lol I plan to study Algebra for the rest of the school year and through the summer. I just ordered the TM and solutions manual for Dolciani. I also have Foerster and Lial's for reference. I like Dolciani's wp's the best. They remind me of Singapore's wp's. Now, all I have to do is figure out how to write conventional Algebra equations, and not use Singapore's bar diagrams. I am also studying Latin, and doing readings from TWEM guidelines. elegantlion
I am doing the 8/8/8, just started with Latin (yesterday), doing a vocabulary builder, and I'm going to work through Harvey's Grammar later this year.

ChrisN in NY
I'm studying Latin (Latin in the Christian Trivium, Volume 3; planning to continue with Volume 4). I'll be brushing on my Algebra 2 in the fall, in preparation for teaching myself calculus after that.
