Gently: You have called this person a wonderful Christian man and the man who will be counseling you, but have not actually called him a counselor. Maybe it's just your wording, but is he a professional counselor? I ask because this is a situation that really needs a professional and not just a clergyman or church member. I know there are many qualified professional counselors who are Christian, and maybe he is one. I just wanted to bring it up for you to think about, in case he isn't a professional.
