kelfro
Does anyone know of a typing program that rewards the child with an opportunity to play a video-like game after completing the lesson? I have Type To Learn and it only rewards them with an introduction to a person in history...pretty boring for my son who loves video games and would gladly do a lesson if it meant getting to a game. This could be a program or an online program, either one. Thank you for any help! Kelly
Twinmom
We've been using a program called Typing Instructor for Kids Platinum that I ordered from Sonlight. My kids love it! They call it "typer island" because of the games used as a reward. Got four of them using now with enthusiasm! HTH!
kelfro
I forgot about Typing Instructor, thanks for the reminder Jennifer! I have never used it but remember that Timberdoodle highly recommended it. And thanks for the other program suggestion, Wendy! I will have to go and check it out, too. Thank you for the quick help! This is a great forums :001_smile:
AndyJoy
My middle school students enjoyed http://www.freetypinggame.net/ We used this as our main typing program and I let them play the games for the last 10 minutes of class if they were on task during the rest of the period. They especially liked the fact that it has high score lists. Edited June 17, 2011 by AndyJoy
