cjzimmer1 Posted June 9, 2011 Share Posted June 9, 2011 So I have the free Read to Succeed tickets for 2 of my kids and myself. I'm planning on taking my older son and my niece as well. We will be attending the Six Flags in Gurnee Mills, IL (Great America). Right now the best ticket prices I can find are kids prices for everyone (so 36.99 a ticket). Anyone know if I can find better ticket price than that? I'm especially interested if there is any coupons for food in the park. I've been googling but haven't found any yet. Also can we take water bottles in to the park? I haven't been there in 20 years and I'm trying to figure out how to keep the price as low as possible for this trip. KristinaBreece Posted June 9, 2011 Share Posted June 9, 2011 IDk about Six Flags, but around here the absolute best prices you can get for amusement parks (think King's Island/Cedar Point) are around $36. That's with the discount for buying the tickets at a Meijer or Kroger store before you go. And food discounts? Non-existent. I know at CP, though, that you can pack a cooler & leave it outside of the gate at their pavilion. That's what we usually do if we're going with more than just DH & I. Paintedlady Posted June 9, 2011 Share Posted June 9, 2011 That's about the best deal you're going to find. I've never seen any sort of coupons/discounts for food in the park. We always pack some folding chairs and a big cooler filled with ice, drinks, and food and eat at the car, tailgate style during lunch and splurge for one pricey meal in the park for dinner.
