newbie
Do you keep on going to chiro or go to orthopedic surgeon and get surgery. I think I tore it, its fine for a little while, but when I walk puppies, it flares. I am not even pulling w/my left(which is injured) Do they get better over time, or its a constant battle. Ellie
I went to a chiropractor who also did therapy for my bad rotator cuff, but I don't know if mine was torn or not; I just had excruciating pain and almost no mobility. I think it would be good to check all your options before choosing surgery.
trailofsparks
I finally went to a chiro who deals w/sports injuries. After only 2-3 months of regular therapy, 5 years ago, I have had no relapses or problems! They did deep tissue massage and used some machine, I can't remember what it was called. My dad had the surgery and I thought for sure I was headed down that same road - just thought it was genetics. I'm so thankful to have found a chiro who healed me and, judging from his initial outlook for me, I am a routine success story. All the best to you. southcarolinamom
I do medical transcription for an orthopaedic surgery group, one of whom is a shoulder specialist. If your insurance covers it, get referred to an orthopaedic surgeon. He may recommend a cortisone injection, P.T., or time, or surgery. Good luck with whatever you decide. I hope your shoulder heals up in no time!
KnitWit
You are going to think this is wacky, but my dh and I both have treated rotator cuff problems with Blue Emu Oil http://www.amazon.com/Nfi-Consumer-Products-Blue-emu-Strength/dp/accessories/B00027C9DM We found it at Walmart. A pharmacy student working there actually told us about it. He (the pharmacy student) had torn his rotator cuff playing baseball. Neither of us had a *torn* rc so we tried it. You have to apply it regularly and you will feel like you have bought into snake oil because there is no *deep heating* sensation or smell...but it works!!! Does it have to be blue, can it be plain emu oil?
