langfam
What kind do you have. How do you use one? What do you use yours mostly for? Thanks!:)
TravelingChris
I did and will again as soon as I get a new seal. I use it for one pot meals and for vegetables mostly.
Shelly in IL
The only difference that I think is important, is that you have a stainless steel one, rather than aluminum. I use it to cook chicken for cooked chicken recipes (cooks in 15 minutes!), potatoes for mashed potatoes, pre-cooking ribs to grill (they are so tender they fall apart), one pot meals (potatoes, green beans and kielbasa cooked for about 13 min. is a favorite around here). You can do so much with one, just make sure, PLEASE MAKE SURE, that you release all pressure before opening it. Take off the valve (or other pressure keeping device) and make sure it doesn't steam or make the whooshing sound any more. Otherwise you will be wearing boiling hot food and be very badly burned! Jean in Newcastle
Just used mine this morning to make chicken stock from a left-over chicken! I love the cookbook called "Pressure Perfect". (I got it from the library first to make sure it was one that fit our family's tastes.)
Tracy in Ky
I use mine mainly for cooking garden green beans and pork and beef roasts (with pototoes and carrots). I have used it for dried beans before.
susie in tx
I use mine mostly for stock. I make beef and chicken stock almost weekly. I've made one pot meals and need to do it more often. The best advice about purchasing a pressure cooker comes from Miss Vickie, IMHO.
