heartlandsahm
I too was unable to find any who liked using it and we did NOT use it this past year (our first yr. to HS and used Core 1&2). So we are going to start WWE & FLL in the Fall, along with Spelling Power, I hope this will help round us out :-).

Mommy22alyns
Sorry... I gave it a good shot for 20 weeks and then dropped it. I didn't like it at all. I thought the reading and writing expectations were way out of sync for my girls - i.e., the reading would be beneath them, but the writing would be beyond them. mamatohaleybug
I haven't used it but I own the LA that goes with Core D. I purchased it for use next year. I have put it aside because the writing expectations are too advanced for my daughter who will be in 3rd grade next year. I'm hoping to be able to use at least part of it for 4th grade. It's not at all what I expected. Very disappointing.
SnMomof7
I think most parents universally find the writing to be too advanced developmentally for the ages it is recommended for. We don't use it either. It is more of a traditional, public-school approach to writing IMO as opposed to a classical one, so you likely won't find many moms here who actually like it around here :).
