bettyandbob
my mom called today wanting to take dd13 to this. I wasn't home and dh told my mom dd is behind on school work right now. I have a feeling this is a moving that I would find inappropriate for dd. I have the fuzzy feeling that it has multiple topics that I'd rather not dd watch. It might be a movie I'd take dd to if she was begging to go (she hasn't mentioned it), but I'd be with her and ready for discussion after. Anyone seen it? Anyone remember the family movie review website?

sunshine_librarian
Common Sense Media has pretty good reviews as well.
Wheres Toto
I went and saw this with DD17. We have both read the book and it is definitely not as explicit as the book. Much of it was very toned down. They worked to make sure it would get a PG13 rating. That said, I agree with JJ - it's not a kids movie. When dd and I went she was laughing because the majority of customers were senior citizens (we went to an early Saturday evening movie). We actually wondered if a local assisted living facility did a field trip. :D
