friendlyjas
I'm having trouble finding an anatomy program for first grade level that I like. I am not a fan of omitting the entire reproductive system, which is what most anatomy programs seem to do. It is looking like I will have to come up with my own system using various resources. Is that what you did? Or is there some curriculum that I am missing that covers all of anatomy?
mrs.m
someone pointed this one out to me last night: http://www.guesthollow.com/homeschool/science/little_otters_science/little_otters_science.html (free!) I'm seriously considering it for next year!

kalanamak
Well, if you want to enrich the reproduction, the It's series: http://www.amazon.com/Its-So-Amazing-Families-Library/dp/0763613215/ref=pd_sim_b_1 Usborne is usually a little more "complete" than other books, but tastefully done (I think): http://www.amazon.com/Growing-Up-Usborne-Facts-Life/dp/0860208370 This was one is "complete": http://www.amazon.com/First-Human-Body-Encyclopedia-Reference/dp/0756609976/ref=pd_sim_b_1 And while not having anything reproductive, this is an animal anatomy book, as I didn't just want human, human, human in our curriculum. Look, I even reviewed it: http://www.amazon.com/X-Ray-Picture-Book-Amazing-Animals/dp/0531157083/ref=cm_cr-mr-title

Why on earth would they do that? Do they put a fig leaf over it in the full body pictures? Seriously, this baffles me.
