amo_mea_filiis.
I can't seem to find any boy books that interests my little man. He likes Cars, Toy Story, etc., just isn't interested in reading them. I just ordered him the book Chicken Butt and I'm sure he'll like it, I'm just not sure if he'll be able to read it. Suggestions?
mrs.m
I find the movie theme books to be terribly boring to read. I noticed that my kids don't care to read them. Our favorite low level readers are Danny and the Dinosaur (& many others by Syd Hoff) Biscuit Henry and Mudge books Frog and Toad (& many others by Arnold Lobel) Amelia Bedelia Harry the Dirty Dog Nate the Great My kids also love books by Doreen Cronin
thescrappyhomeschooler
Frog and Toad books were a big hit here. Anything by Syd Hoff, too.

Sebastian (a lady)
I find the movie theme books to be terribly boring to read. I noticed that my kids don't care to read them. Our favorite low level readers are Danny and the Dinosaur (& many others by Syd Hoff) Biscuit Henry and Mudge books Frog and Toad (& many others by Arnold Lobel) Amelia Bedelia Harry the Dirty Dog Nate the Great My kids also love books by Doreen Cronin The above is a great list. My youngest was a reluctant reader until the last few months (whew, finally). He liked several of the above as well as: Henry and Mudge, Poppleton, and Mr. Putter & Tabby series by Cynthia Rylant Billy & Blaze (he really liked these) When I found a book that he liked, we stuck with that series or author as long as we could. So after reading Frog and Toad, we did Mouse Tales, Uncle Elephant and The Grasshopper in the Road.
