Xander
I'm looking for a game that will help my (embarrassingly old) kids learn their US Capitols. . . especially one for older kids (age 12 and up). . .any suggestions? How about making a set of cards, each showing the name of a state, then shuffle them together and see how quickly each kid can sort them into three piles - one for State House and Statehouse, one for State Capitol and one for Legislative Hall (or four piles if you want to differentiate between the first two)? Jane in NC
Dare I assert that knowing the state capitols is not important? I think it is more relevant in modern life to know world capitols. Jane (who has always wondered why knowledge of US Capitols is more than a memory exercise) ETA: Maybe this is a hotbed of controversy! How exciting to start a controversial thread! Maybe? :tongue_smilie:
