Reya
Looks like I'll be teaching the neighbor's kiddo all summer, prepping him for K at a public school! So far, he knows all his letters, their sounds, and then I wrote a curriculum for him that taught him to BLEND END RIMES! He will sit there and blend them just as casually as you can please! I've got him counting to 10 with limited prompts and counting to 5 with 1-to-1 correspondence. Fine motor skills is going to be the GRUELING area. But academically, I think he'll be "above grade level" when he starts!

But let's put it this way. He wasn't walking yet when he turned 4. I'm the one who got him on his feet.

dtsmamtj
Reya - you sould like you have some knowledge in working with children with special needs - any tips on getting them to pronounce letter sounds correctly (i.e., z, s, c, k, f) mainly. Thank you. T
