Surfside Academy
Has anyone seen or heard anything about these? Royal Fireworks Press (who sells MCT products) also sells these science manuals. They come with an accompanying CD. They look interesting but I haven't been able to find any reviews or other information about them. http://rfwp.com/series88.htm Anyone?? I would love to see them in person but I don't think they're coming out west. Definitely let us know what you think!
Granny_Weatherwax
MariannNOVA has them. I have seen them at convention. I think they are great for topical studies but they do not replace a regular science program. I think the original intent (and I may be wrong) was for them to be used as a supplement for gifted students in public school, like in a gifted pull out program. The activities are great. The digestive system suggests using vacuum cleaner hose to represent the intestines and then to vary the type of material (loose mud or dirt clods) to represent the feces. Totally cool.
